Celebrating 2011 at Rize Mount Pleasant

The holiday season has officially arrived and at Rize Mount Pleasant, we have lots to celebrate.

We are enjoying the holidays and providing small trees for our 2011 pop-up retailers and guest artists to decorate and they have done an amazing job making each tree unique.

As 2011 comes to an end, we’re reflecting back on the year and we are proud to have launched the Rize pop-up shop here in Mount Pleasant.  Since April, the pop-up shop has welcomed an impressive variety of creative and entrepreneurial retailers from around Vancouver to occupy the shop and showcase their unique creations and ideas.

We’re also proud of our efforts to support local artists throughout the year. Last summer, we launched the Kingsway Art Collective, an initiative to showcase the work of budding artists around Vancouver. Rize Mount Pleasant was also honoured to host this year’s the Cheaper Show, a massive one-night event that displayed and sold local and national artwork for a uniform affordable price.

We’d like to thank all of the artists and entrepreneurs who have worked with us this year, as well as all of the visitors who have supported them.

Several of the pop up retailers that we’ve partnered with this year came back to help decorate Christmas trees. Check out the creations from Lisa Penz and the Festive Collective below.

We welcome you to visit us at 196 Kingsway to see more of these trees in person. We’re also collecting donations for the Vancouver Food Bank, and we encourage you to bring non-perishable food items if you drop by.

Happy holidays from all of us here at Rize Alliance!
